The good start to the season under new managers Morson and Holmes continues emphatically.

Although the gaffers will still think better is to come as the new players start integrating more into the team and finding their rhythm.

The Friday night game at USRC is always a popular time and a number of DBFC legends turn out to play and so last night it was good to see the two Matts (Zoeller and Hoare) joining the team.

The game started fairly evenly but DBFC always looked threatening going forward and after 15 minutes it was new signing Kafi Harun that interchanged passes with Jordon to break round the back of the USRC defence and slot home a great goal.

USRC pressed for the equaliser but DBFC defence stood strong under the watch of stand in centre back Matt Zoeller.

DBFC couldn’t find the second goal to ease the pressure until 3 minutes before half time when Jordon brown blasted in.

The pressure relief lasted all of 2 minutes because straight from the restart USRC got one back taking advantage of DBFC’s lack of concentration while thinking of the half time break.

The second half started at 2-1 to DBFC and after 5 minutes in DBFC should have been awarded a clear penalty when USRC’s last defender barged over Kafi when he was clean through on goal.

USRC held firm for 15 more minutes as DBFC started to up the pressure and finally Jordon got his second goal with a class shot from 20 yards out.

10 minutes later it was Jamie Bone that got DBFC’s 4th goal when he played a 1-2 with Kafi then dribble past 2 USRC defenders in the box to find a gap and coolly side footed the ball into the corner of the USRC net.

The 5th and final goal came with only 5 minutes left and it was the young man Danny Haggarty getting his first senior goal for DBFC. Great football down the left by Jamie Bone resulted in his shot going passed the keeper to rebound back in the same direction and it was Danny first to react to pop the ball home.
