This was a solid performance by a DBFC team that on paper should not be bottom of HK Legends League with zero point.

The first half was very tight overall, both teams not taking many risks and playing some seriously good passing football. Consequently there were few opportunities to score on both sides and any third party watching the game would not recognize that it was the team at the top of the Legends League playing the team at the bottom. The two new signings for DBFC Vets (Edson and Oulius) combined up front with Steph to add quality, composure and physical strength to the DBFC attack and this allowed the team to stay higher up the pitch. The first half finished 0-0 with a good performance from the 11 starters.

The second half started the same fashion for DBFC; believing in their power, increasing the tempo and putting more pressure on the HKFC defence. This resulted in a goal for DBFC when a HKFC defender attempted to clear from  a corner only to be headed across the face of the goal for Edson to hammer into the roof of the net from close range. DBFC had a few more chances to make it 2-0 before HKFC started to press more looking for an equalizer. DBFC made a couple of substitutions in the second half which upset the balance of the side a little and affected the solid structure of the first half. DBFC dug deep for the last 20 or 15 minutes and after a few chances, HKFC scored a goal 5 minutes from the end.

Disappointed not to win this game but happy with the performance and our first point.
