All the fans stayed at home for this one and who can blame them on a wet and wild night at Tseung Kwan O. With a T3 blowing in our face in the first half the instruction from Gazza was to get the ball forward and make sure we have the right shirts on whilst doing so.

Starting line up: Bradders, Ping, Rigby, Tita, Morse, San, Sean, Pui, Kwai, Crompton, Pierre.

From the kick off DB Vets were hoping to extend their invincible record and got off to a flier thanks to good work on the right hand side, Pierre’s step over dummy and Crommy the dummy slotted it home. More good work from Pierre taking on some crunching tackles and finding his teammate Crommy again to add another fine finish. Pui got in on the act and sent in a third goal to prove that he wasn’t too tired after his wedding the night before. Crommy then banged in his hattrick before half time to make it 4-0 at the break.

Half time brought a quick bollocking, a change in personnel and formation as we reverted to a back 3. Now playing with the wind, DB subsequently took our foot off the gas at the beginning of the second half.  Disaster then struck when a sloppy backpass allowed their forward to nip in and pull one back despite Bradders best sliding effort to keep it out.

“Don’t panic, don’t panic!” everyone screamed whilst running around in sheer panic.

A quick reshuffle back to 4 in defence and more changes led to a more settled DB ferry. Simon and Dan steadied the ship and Akosah and Stephaine added the creative flair up top. Normal service was then resumed with Pui adding to his account further to restore the 4 goal advantage. Akosah then lobbed the stranded Spartan stopper to make it 6-1 and just to add even more gloss to the score-line Brendon blasted in to send DB into seventh heaven.

What a night for the DB lads, 12 wins from 12 with 4 matches left to play.

Credit to all 19 players in the squad and well done Gazza for getting everyone decent game time.

The question is now: Can we keep this winning run going right to the end of the season?
