Established in 1992 by brothers Russell and Bill Fredrickson, with a pioneering shop on Peking Road in the tourist district of Tsim Sha Tsui, Uncle Russ Coffee has always been committed to providing customers with the best-quality coffee products. In fact, you could say that Uncle Russ Coffee has been the founding father of gourmet coffee in Hong Kong.
As Hong Kong’s original coffee shop, Uncle Russ Coffee reflects the true birth and blossom of the coffee industry. The goal has always been to provide coffee beverages that are unparalleled in quality.
The Uncle Russ brand was subsequently purchased by current owner YB Rai of Danica Ltd. And merged, together with Just Java in 2000. Mr. Rai has always strived to bring the highest quality of service and products to his customers daily. Because of this the Uncle Russ brand continues to enjoy a strong and loyal following. Today Uncle Russ continues to be operated by Danica Ltd.
In 2002 the investment was made to open our own coffee-roasting facility in Hong Kong helping to enhance the flavor and freshness of our coffee, and supply our premium freshly roasted beans to other businesses as well as provide a variety of coffee products and consultancy services. Our coffee master was trained in the art of coffee roasting and has been honing his skills ever since.
The Uncle Russ concept has proven highly successful in areas abundant with corporate office and commuters, who like to enjoy their favorite daily coffee & refreshment on the move. Currently operate four wholly owned coffee shops and consult our franchise and business client spanning various districts. We continue to grow from strength to strength. Besides, we are continuously developing our independently owned shops that range in size and style, from boutique takeaway kiosks to substantial coffee and refreshment lounges.
